A-1 Driving School can help prepare your teen for driving. We provide thorough and in-depth instruction in all aspects of the driving skills, attitudes, and habits required for novice drivers to become safe & lawful drivers.
ü 30 HOURS CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION – Includes review of MVD Driver License Manual; Practice Quizzes & Evaluation of Knowledge Related to the Manual; Defensive Driving Techniques & Establishment of Safe Driving Habits; Identifying Different Driving Environments and the Different Dangers Expected in Each Environment; Rules of the Road including Yielding, 4-way Stops, Roundabouts, Sharing the Road, etc; Basic Car Maintenance & Safety Features; Distracted & Impaired Driving (peers, cell phones, texting, eating, fatigue, driving under the influence) and more! ü 6 HOURS INDIVIDUAL IN-CAR INSTRUCTION IN OUR TOYOTA COROLLA after completion of the classroom portion of the course. Individually scheduled in one or two hour increments based on student proficiency. Can be completed up to 6 months after completing classroom portion. Pick up & drop off in Prescott & Prescott Valley. ü EARN AN MVD CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION upon successful completion of the classroom portion of the course. This Certificate may be used by MVD to waive the required written test to obtain the graduated driving permit. ü QUALIFY FOR A DRIVING SKILLS EVALUATION WITH A-1 during the last in-car driving lesson. If student successfully passes the evaluation, A-1 provides an MVD Certificate of Completion for driving skills which may be used by MVD to waive the required driving skills test to convert the graduated permit to a graduated driver's license. This does not shorten the mandatory 6-month permit holding period for student drivers under 18 years of age. Driver-Ed program offerings for 2011 will have classes scheduled with two different formats. Our Saturday programs will have students attending (5) 6-hour classes scheduled on Saturdays. The Saturdays will not always be consecutive. Additionally we will offer 1-week Monday thru Friday classes during the summer months and coinciding with high school Spring and Fall and Winter breaks.
